I was photographing high school lacrosse at Chicago suburban Northbrook Techny Fields when I heard the sound of skateboards as they hit the pavement. After the game I walked over to take a look and see what was happening and I found these young men going up and down and all around!

I started out observing my daughters playing lacrosse in the Chicago area in 1997. Then in 2005 I began photographing action photos for the Chicago area Lakeshore Lacrosse (www.lakeshorelacrosse.com) and Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association (www.iglax.org). These photos are from a collaboration between IGLA and the five time NCAA Northwestern University Women’s Lacrosse Champions. The passion and enthusiasm for lacrosse at all ages is infectious!

Chicago Weddings are amazing and I love to photograph a bride no matter the destination. But, last week I traveled with my camera to Boulder, Colorado. I appreciate all the different ways that people entertain and express themselves and Boulder never fails to tell it’s own story.

I am a Chicago area photographer who started with black and white film photography. Like many photographers, I have had to grow with the changes in technology. What remains the same for me, is the story that can be told with my camera.
